During January I was able to take some time away. Time away from my regular, daily routine. Time away from a bitter cold winter.

Time with family. Time in the sunshine of Southern California.

I'm so grateful for that time. I was able to be filled up with inspiration, rest, ocean air, sunshine, and so much gratitude.

This time away inspired the paintings in this month's release.

It has been such a joy to get back into the work of creation after rest. I have drawn on my reserve of peace and poured it into this painting. Peaceful, meditative, restful joy.

These are the feelings I wish to share with you and your sacred spaces.

This painting was created to reflect the complete peace felt at dusk next to the Pacific Ocean.

The sound of the waves moving to and from the shore.

The warmth of ocean air, and the evening glow of sunset.

The last light of dusk dipping past the horizon.

Painted slowly, restfully, and through meditation, this painting emerged layer by washy layer.
